SAT

Why Scholastic Assessment Test?

The SAT serves as a standardized entrance exam utilized by the majority of colleges and universities to evaluate applicants for admission. Developed and administered by the College Board, this multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test aims to assess a high school student's preparedness for college. Its primary objective is to offer colleges a uniform benchmark for comparing all applicants. Alongside other factors such as high school GPA, course selection, letters of recommendation, extracurricular involvement, interviews, and personal essays, standardized test scores play a role in the college admissions process. However, the significance placed on SAT scores varies among institutions. Generally, achieving higher scores on the SAT and/or ACT can broaden your opportunities for college acceptance and financial aid.
